Was dealing with Mr Antoine Cadudal for the death of a foreign relative in France. Mr Cadudal is a very amiable fellow and very reassuring upon meeting/talking with him. However, after probate was granted in the UK, this firm took 6 months to collect the necessary documents to even prepare the flat for sale. Citing they could not access the building, could not get tax or city hall documents etc. Communication was basically non-existent from the start. Call them, nothing, email them, nothing. I called them around 12x in those first 6 months asking for an update and only on the 6th month could we finally discuss listing the property on the market. At one point even I was angry on a call and when the receptionist put me on 'hold' she left it on and I could hear her mocking me by doing a joking impression to her colleagues in the background. Utterly disappointing. The auctioning team (Julien) did a fantastic job and were very communicative which I appreciate. The property was sold within a month and I was told the date and approximate price it was sold for by the auctioning team. However after that we were back to non-communication from the lawyers. It took 5 months after the sale had been completed for taxes to be paid and money to be deposited to my accounts. When afterwards I asked for a breakdown of the taxes and monies received to verify if any taxes were still being withheld, I have to this day, had no reply. I have given up. I cannot recommend them in good faith given the above experience. I would give 1* but the sale did complete even though it was needlessly stressful.
